Indian entrepreneurs want to buy Racing Santander

A businessman from India was reported to buy Racing Santander, the Spanish club's Premier League, and hoped the takeover deal completed on 24 January.

Ahsan Ali Syed, founder and chairman of Indian businessmen Western Gulf Advisory Asset and Wealth Management (WGA), last year failed to buy Blackburn Rovers - the club in the Premier League.

WGA official statement said Ahsan is implementing long-term strategy, by putting their money in the business of football. Investment in sport will be handled WGA Sports Holdings, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

"Sports always provide attractive investment opportunities, especially when combined with a passion and dream," said Ahsan Ali Syed said in a statement, as quoted Goal.

Last year, Syed Ali Ahsan compete with Venky's - the giant poultry India - and failed to get Blackburn. Now, he does not want to fail again.

"Spain is not only a world power, but also producing great players. Not only today, but for a long time," said Ali Syed.

He also said plans to buy Racing Santander made after studying the business of football in some countries.
